Where and when will GNE 2026 take place?
GNE will take place in San Francisco, California, at the award-winning and centrally located Moscone West from Tuesday, October 6th to Thursday, October 8th. For your convenience, room blocks have been secured at eight of the best nearby hotels in a variety of price categories.
Registration
How do I register for GNE?
Visit sirgne.com to register. Early bird registration is available for US$2,295 until April 30th. Starting May 1st, registration will increase to US$2,495.
Registration includes admittance to all official GNE events and business meetings. Please note that all registration fees are non-refundable.
Will my spouse/significant other or family members be permitted to attend any of the GNE-related meetings or food and beverage functions?
Guest registration is available for US$1,000 and includes admittance to the two evening events only. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to gain admittance and are not permitted to attend general sessions, breakouts, or any other meals listed on the agenda.
NOTE: Guest registrations may not be purchased for an active member of the Sotheby’s International Realty® network.
When do I need to register by?
Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the event has sold out. We recommend early registration and hotel booking to secure your spot.
How do I know if I successfully registered for GNE 2026?
Within 24 business hours of successful registration, you will receive an email from no-reply@customreg.com with the following subject line: Confirmation: 2026 Sotheby’s International Realty GNE Registration, providing you with access to the 2026 SIR GNE App. If you don’t receive this e-mail within 24 business hours, please check your spam. If not there, e-mail SIREvents@sotheby.realty.
Do I need to bring a ticket or registration confirmation for admittance to the event?
No. Your physical event badge will be your entrance to all official brand events.
When and where do I receive my event badge? Am I required to wear it throughout the entire event?
Your name badge will be available at the Sotheby’s International Realty GNE registration desk on Tuesday, October 6th. You will be required to wear your name badge to enter ALL event-related functions, meals, and meeting spaces.
Security personnel will be checking badges, and you will not be admitted to any GNE functions without one. No exceptions.
If I lose my event badge, where can I get a replacement?
Badges will not be available for replacement. We highly suggest keeping your badge on at all times.
What will I need to bring with me to pick up my badge?
To collect your badge at the Registration Desk, ensure you have a photo ID with you.
What if I can’t pick up my badge at that time and location?
If you are unable to collect your badge at the designated time and place, please email SIREvents@sothebys.realty.
What meals are included with my registration?
- Tuesday, October 6th – Dinner at the Welcome Reception only
- Wednesday, October 7th – Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Thursday, October 8th – Breakfast and lunch (no dinner as the event will conclude Thursday afternoon)
Accommodations
Are guest rooms available?
We have secured room blocks at eight of the best nearby hotels in a variety of price categories.
To ensure all registered attendees have access to our preferred rates, hotel blocks are reserved exclusively for those who have completed event registration.
Hotel reservation links will be shared after your GNE event attendee registration is confirmed. This information will be on both the registration confirmation page and your confirmation email sent to the email you use to register for GNE.
We will review bookings regularly and contact individuals who have not registered. Preferred-rate rooms may be reallocated to registered participants, if necessary.
What if I made a hotel reservation but failed to register on time?
Hotel rooms are reserved for registered attendees only. You will need to register for the event before booking a hotel room.
Travel & Transportation
Where is the closest airport to downtown San Francisco?
Downtown San Francisco is approximately 13 miles northwest of San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Travel time to and from the airport typically ranges from 20 to 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Keep in mind that travel times may vary, so it's advisable to check for real-time traffic updates and plan accordingly.
Will transportation be provided to and from the airport?
No. We recommend using a car service, taxi, or ride-share app.
Will transportation be needed to and from Moscone West?
Transportation between hotels and Moscone West will not be provided as all secured room blocks are within walking distance.
Transportation on night two, at San Francisco City Hall, will be provided and details will be shared as the event nears.
Is there a floor plan to help me find my way around?
An event map is included in the GNE App. We strongly recommend downloading the app and familiarizing yourself with its features once registered for the event. A detailed map of Moscone West with breakout session locations will be released as the event nears.
Marketing Opportunities
Will I be able to promote my listings during GNE?
Feel free to share content on the social wall, or via 1:1 messaging within the GNE App.
Will there be a designated hashtag that can be used in social media messages for GNE?
Yes, the official hashtag of the 2026 GNE is #SIRGNE.
Networking & Communication
Is there a GNE App?
Yes! Please visit the Apple App Store or Google Play and search for SIR GNE to download the 2026 GNE App. Only registered attendees will be able to access the app using the email used for registration. Access to the GNE App will be given within 2 hours of successful registration.
How can I connect with my fellow attendees before and during the event?
An updated attendee list with attendee names and their affiliated company is available within the GNE App.
How can I stay informed with updates throughout GNE?
All registered attendees are highly encouraged to download the GNE App, which will send push notification messages throughout the event with reminders, updates, and important announcements.
Agenda & Programming
Will there be educational breakout sessions held during GNE?
Yes, we will offer breakout session opportunities on Wednesday and Thursday.
As in past years, the breakouts will be a combination of sessions hosted by subject matter experts, as well as broker and sales associate best practice panels.
Will there be pre-conference meetings?
Yes, more details will be available in the coming months.
Will the general session be livestreamed?
No, the general session will not be livestreamed.
Will I be able to view recordings after GNE?
At this time, no general session or breakout session recordings will be released after GNE.
How can I stay informed with updates and announcements regarding 2026 GNE?
Important and up-to-date information will always be available on sirgne.com and the GNE App.
Additionally, important announcements will be made via the Sotheby’s International Realty “What’s New” newsletter. Check with your brokerage staff to ensure you are opted in for brand communications.
Do I need to attend all events and sessions?
We encourage you to tailor your experience by creating a schedule that aligns with your interests and business objectives. We highly recommend taking advantage of the wealth of knowledge gathered in one space. Consider attending keynote talks and breakout sessions focused on topics that pique your interest, maximizing the opportunity to engage with our knowledgeable community.
Miscellaneous
What is the suggested dress code for the event?
For all daytime meetings, business attire is appropriate. Pack a light sweater or jacket as the meeting room space tends to be kept at a lower temperature. Please note: Moscone West is a large property, and we recommend comfortable foot attire.
During our evening events, we have proposed:
- Tuesday, October 6th Welcome Evening Reception: Cocktail attire.
- Wednesday, October 7th Dinner Reception: Black-tie attire.
What is the Wi-Fi login for the event?
Check back closer to the event for Wi-Fi information, which will also be available within the GNE App.

Will there be photography or videography during the event?
Official event photography and videography will be managed by our hired professional teams.
All other attendees capturing content must have a full event registration. Please note that photography or videography is strictly prohibited during general sessions and breakout sessions.
Anyone found recording or photographing these sessions will be asked to leave immediately, and their event badge will be revoked.
However, you are welcome to capture photos and videos during networking breaks and evening events to share your experience and connect with others.
